Teaching School Offer
Our offer is aligned with key areas of the Teaching School remit:
1. Initial teacher training (ITT)
The Associated Merseyside Partnership SCITT (AMP) offers exceptional personalised primary 7-11 postgraduate initial teacher training. Our four lead primary schools, Holy Rosary Catholic Primary School, Aintree Davenhill Primary School, Green Park Primary School and Hudson Primary school, have supported and guided many successful trainees into the teaching profession and have a passion for developing future leaders of education.
The course is a School Centered Initial Teacher Training Course (SCITT) and, as such, is led by experienced practicing teachers who ensure your learning is completely focused on working with and in schools. In addition, AMP works with Liverpool Hope University to ensure the academic and relevant research is available to support our trainees. In fact, this partnership allows us to offer an extremely strong learning experience with enhanced school experience in two contrasting schools, in addition to special education experience.
2. Continuing professional development (CPD)
We provide a CPD package which offers a range of courses and programmes aimed at NQTs and Middle and Senior Leaders across both the primary and secondary sector.
3. School to school support
We can provide support ranging from one-off training to whole school commissions. Commission an SLE to work in your school to develop leaders and improve practice.
4. Research and development
To develop a research culture across the alliance so that initiatives to raise achievement in identified areas are based on established best practice. To develop opportunities amongst staff in the alliance for innovative and creative pedagogical development.
